“Alice Gallagher's clarinet playing is musically stylish, imaginative, and personal; superb!
As a teacher, she is a real force, and prepares her students for college in a marvelous fashion.”

Alice Gallagher is a graduate of The Juilliard School and has established herself in San Diego as a clarinet teacher with an honest, enthusiastic, and patient approach. Her unique combination of musical skill and encouraging personality help her students learn and improve in a relaxed atmosphere. Gallagher's students have gone on to gain entrance to study music at schools such as Eastman School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Boston Conservatory/Berklee, UCLA, and Indiana University. They have been accepted into prestigious programs such as the Interlochen Arts Camp, and placed in top spots in the Massachusetts and California All-State Bands and Orchestras. Her students also perform with the San Diego Youth Symphony and the Civic Youth Orchestra of San Diego.
A natural teacher, she has been giving private clarinet lessons since she was in high school. She teaches clarinetists of all ages, from beginners to advanced, and is on the faculty of the University of San Diego and MiraCosta College in Oceanside, CA. Alice Gallagher is a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California and is on the Audition Board of the Musical Merit Foundation of San Diego.
